I sometimes just want to crawl out a window and escape life.
“Insist on yourself, never imitate. Your own gift you can present every moment with the cumulative force of a whole life’s cultivation; but of the adopted talent of another you have only an extemporaneous half possession.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Take what you need that’s all.
A light craft takes the wind and skims the water lightly.”

“Writing is the Latin of our times. The modern language of the people is video and sound.” – Lawrence Lessig
My life has had a lot of twists and turns. Things done, choices made, things not done. It always seemed like I was in control. Then Bam! an unexpected consequence that pushed me down a path different from the one I had intended. Age and hard knocks have made me realize that, more often than not, life really is out of my control. Every decision I have made has had consequences, intended and quite often unintended. As I sit comfortably in my home the reality is that I’m here because of the twists and turns of life. Maybe I’m at this place and time due to a decision made years ago? Did a simple twist of fate plant me here? Maybe something will happen tomorrow that will change my life’s trajectory. My life is an intricate tapestry of choices and chance bound together by the thread of fate. But really it isn’t the path that matters, it’s how I choose to walk it.
I have never been too much into idols. I suppose if asked I would say my parents and Grampa. No sports superstars, movie actors, and certainly no politicians. My idols have always been close to home.
A person who thinks they have everything really possesses nothing. Those who have all things are content with nothing. Greed is a cruel companion.
Finding My Way
Rivers have always captivated my imagination. When I watch the water flow by I think about its journey to some far away ocean. I think about the fish swimming below the surface aand wonder how they can see in the muddy water. How can they tell which way to go? It reminds me that often I don’t know which way I’m going . Perhaps I can discover the secret of the fishes
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.” – Mark Twain
